Medical services for foreigners

Foreign citizens in Northern Cyprus can choose to receive medical services in public hospitals on general terms or take out a special medical insurance policy for services in private clinics. The cost of such insurance depends on the current health condition, age, and the selected services package within the context of the tariff.

Although the cost of medical treatments in Northern Cyprus is lower than in European countries, in case of a serious illness, the expenses can still be significant. Some private hospitals offer a membership system to foreign patients permanently residing in the country. Pharmacies

There are many pharmacies in Northern Cyprus that are well known for selling almost every single drug one can think of, also without a prescription. All pharmacists speak Turkish and English.
