Northern Cyprus has entered the TOP 5 warm countries with the most budget-friendly real estate. The country takes an honorable first place in the ranking.
According to Forbes, real estate in the TRNC is 47% cheaper than, for example, in the USA. Here, the average cost per square foot is only $118.
Here's what the columnist writes: "Northern Cyprus is a region and de facto state of the Republic of Cyprus, an island state in the eastern Mediterranean Sea. It is known for its long sandy beaches, abundant sunshine, excellent cuisine and friendly locals.
Historical tensions between the north and south of Cyprus led to tourism and development being concentrated in the south of the island until recently. However, today relations have softened, and things are mooving smoothly on both sides of the border. Prices in Northern Cyprus are more affordable, and the country is expecting a tourism boom, providing good opportunities for investors and people looking to buy a home abroad.
As the region becomes more and more attractive, new hotels are opening, as well as casinos, golf courses and luxury marinas."
According to a columnist for Live And Invest Overseas, the author of the article in Forbes, currently real estate in Northern Cyprus "remains fantastically affordable," with the best deals found in unfinished construction projects, where properties can be purchased even cheaper than the mentioned average price per square foot.
