The popular magazine Live and Invest Overseas, which analyzes the life index for foreigners abroad, has published data on the availability of medical care in different countries of the world for immigrants, considering such factors as quality and affordability.
Northern Cyprus entered the TOP 7 of the international ranking. Here is what is indicated in the ranking:
“Cyprus's healthcare system is ranked 12th in the world according to the WHO.
In Northern Cyprus, medical care is of such a high standard that medical tourists are starting to seek it out. Many come for world-class IVF treatments, while others take advantage of the low cost of complex studies (MRIs, CT scans, etc.) as well as inexpensive dental care.
The costs are so low that many pay out of pocket. The average cost of specialist’s appointment, for example, is around $45. The standards are excellent, and the medical staff is English-speaking and highly qualified.
In Kyrenia, the main hospitals are Kyrenia General Hospital (public), Kyrenia Medical Center (private) and Kolan British Hospital (private).
In all the cities of Northern Cyprus you will find private and public clinics and hospitals, as well as surgeries, emergency medical facilities, dentists, opticians, and even alternative health care options.”
