Iskele is located 20 km north of Famagusta in the eastern part of Cyprus, also known by the Greek name Trikomo. Iskele is most popular for its long golden beaches. Long Beach is undoubtedly one of the most visited beaches in Cyprus. It stretches kilometer after kilometer along the coast, with soft sand, sunbeds and beach bars.

In the center of the village you can visit the 16th century church of St James, and Iskeles Icon Museum, Panagia Theotokos Church. An international folk dance festival is also organized every year in Iskele, which attracts many visitors.

Iskele is a small town that is growing steadily with many new housing projects popping up along the coast. From Iskele, you are close to the Karpaz national park area, which is located on the easternmost tip of the island, here you can see wild donkeys and turtles laying eggs. On the way out to Karpaz, you pass the quiet fishing village of Bogaz, which is nice to stop at, as well as the coastal strip at Bafra, where you can check into one of the five star luxury hotels located there. Overall, there are many small villages, all unique in their own way, to visit in this part of Cyprus.

From Iskele, you are also close to the northern coast, which you reach by crossing the Beşparmak mountain range. Up here, you can stop to discover the ruins of Kantara Castle while being fascinated by the fantastic panoramic view of the Mediterranean Sea.
